STEPS FOR SALVATION

What to do:

1. Recognize that we need to be reconciled to God; that we need salvation and have no ability to save ourselves.
   1. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. -Ephesians 2:8-10
   2. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God -Roman 3:23
   3. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23
2. Understand that God sent Jesus to pay the price for our sins once and for all and to offer salvation to all people of all nations.
   1. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16
   2. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. -Romans 10:12, 13
3. Receive the gift of salvation, repenting of sin, and accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior believing that He died for us and rose again bodily from the grave conquering death.
   1. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -I John 1:9
   2. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. -Romans 10:9
4. Commit our life to the work of the Father, to fellowship with other believers, to reading and sharing the Good News and to bringing glory and honor to God.
   1. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. -Revelations 22:14
   2. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. -Hebrews 10:25
   3. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost -Matthew 28:19
